Salkantay – “The Wild Mountain” is only called when dark and hazardous times are coming. Some would say she’s just a myth. Despite the paintings shows a picture of a beautiful harmless woman, only heaven can tell how rentless she was on the battlelfield. The elders are the only ones who knows where she might be living nowadays, her tales of triumph in ancient wars echo to the present day, village children try to imitate her iconic battle painting, dreaming of meeting her one day. No one can say when and if she will ever return to the village, perhaps her legacy has already been fulfilled, only time will tell.
