At www.3d.sk we are excited to unveil our latest innovation in the world of 3D character creation: the “Digital Double” of Turgen, an actor meticulously scanned and photographed portraying a pirate, a medieval warrior, and a Tatar-Turkish raider. This new product offers an unparalleled resource for creating realistic and dynamic characters in video games and digital media.
A Closer Look at Turgen’s Digital Double
During our sessions, Turgen was dressed in authentic medieval attire complete with various weapons and professional makeup to match each persona. These settings provided hundreds of anatomical references ideal for both traditional and digital artists. Our detailed captures include T-pose photographs, action poses, and close-ups of limbs, hands, eyes, ears, feet, faces, and skin textures—every element that character artists and game developers need to craft new figures for computer games and digital art pieces.
Advanced Body Scanning Techniques and Photography
Our state-of-the-art scanning involved capturing dynamic poses such as swinging a saber, slashing with a sword, or defensive stances using a shield and axe. We generated dozens of combat poses that can be adapted for various gaming applications or used as bases for modeling new characters.
For the highest level of detail, these poses were photographed using our Canon EOS R5 with a 45 MP resolution. This high-fidelity approach ensured every minute detail was captured, with each pose shot on a revolving platform from eight different angles to encapsulate all aspects meticulously.
Premade Head Textures for Immediate Use
Alongside the comprehensive pose catalog, we also developed a 12K Premade head texture for immediate use in 3D characters, further aiding artists and developers in their creative processes.
