Artwork: Portrait of a Knight
This work was my exploration and practice for creating a realistic human male character, exploring sculpting a custom head from different references, detailing the skin by hand using HD geometry in Zbrush, creating skin textures in substance and learning Xgen interactive groom for creating the hair. I also used this as an opportunity to try out different lighting setups using area lights, as well as HDRIs. The process work for sculpting, and texturing of the head and armor are in my Instagram if you would like to see it.
