Artwork: Shuri – Black Panther – Breakdown
I couldn’t help but love Shuri’s character design in the comic books, so I chose to create her 3D model, leaning more towards that design. I didn’t want to over-complicate the helmet either….
I used a Metahumans base model for this, and sculpting the likeness of Letitia Wright was done in a day. The entire model was completed in 10 days, and then I thought I’d add a bit of my style to her by making a cavalier version—a more youthful version if you will. I donned her with a pair of headphones (electric purple, of course), a T-shirt version of her body suit, stripped the fur cape, and added some colour to her hair. Lighting and rendering was done in Unreal Engine 5.
