Here’s a Short Tutorial on How to Apply 3D.sk Face Textures to Your Metahuman Character:
1.Create your own Metahuman character. If you’re new to the process, no worries — we’ve got you covered. Follow our easy, step-by-step tutorial here
It’s beginner-friendly and will guide you through every step to bring your character to life!

2.Install the free Metahuman Lighting plugin for Unreal Engine, which you can find in FAB

3.View in Launcher

4.Start your MetaHumanLighting project

5.Select UE version

6.Select quality setting

7.Import Metahuman (via Quixel Bridge) we have already created

TIP: in case you open Quixel Bridge but there are only default MetaHuman characters, but one you have created is missing, than please make sure you are signed in in Quixel Bridge popup window with the same credentials.


- 1. Download Highest Quality
- 2. Click Download
- 3. Add to scene. This can take a while

Place 3D model into the UE scene (MetaHuman is temporarily represented by 3D spehere)

8.Center and align your model in the scene. Set all 3 location values to 0

9.Set your lights

10.Change the field of view to 35

11.Create new folder, name it 3DskTexture and import diffuse texture to newly created folder.
- 1. Create new folder, name it 3DskTexture
- 2. Import diffuse texture
- 3. 3D.sk texture added to folder

12.Replace textures with High resolution textures. Choose main shader in MetaHumans / Your MetaHuman / Face / Materials / Baked and double click on first shader.
